Patna, May 13, 2024: PM Modi on Monday launched a sharp attack on RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, accusing him of spreading “darkness in the name of social justice” and pushing Bihar into poverty and lawlessness. Addressing a massive rally in Qutubpur block of Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency, PM Modi said, “In the name of social justice, how much darkness do the lantern people spread in Bihar? They pushed the people into poverty and deprivation and gave them the Jungle Raj. These people ruined everyone and built their own palaces. Only the kidnapping flourished under RJD rule.”

PM Modi alleged the opposition is involved in appeasement politics:

The Prime Minister also accused the RJD and Congress of indulging in appeasement politics. “Both these parties have made appeasement their biggest political weapon,” he said.

Reaffirming his commitment to protect reservations, PM Modi claimed that the INDI alliance wanted to divert benefits meant for Dalits, backward classes, and tribals to another community.

“As long as Modi is alive, no one can snatch your reservation or your rights. Those times are gone when they tore the papers of reservation given to women,” he declared.

Reffering to Lalu Prasad Yadav’s conviction in the fodder scam, Pm Modi said, “A person who brought the Jungle Raj to Bihar and was punished for corruption is now saying that Muslims should get full reservation. They want to give the entire quota meant for dalits, backward classes, and tribals to Muslims.”

PM Narendra Modi urged voters to make a strong government:

Urging voters to support the NDA, the Prime Minister said, “If you vote for the RJD, Congress, or any other INDI alliance party, your vote will be wasted. Vote for NDA to build a strong government and a bright future for your children.”

He also attacked opposition leaders for “boycotting and mocking” the Ram temple in Ayodhya, asking the crowd, “Will you forgive such people?”

Highlighting his government’s anti-corruption record, Modi said, “In 10 years of Congress rule, the ED has seized only Rs 35 lakh. From our government, Rs 2,200 crore has been confiscated. That’s why the thieves have lost their sleep and are abusing Modi.”

Modi said the country had witnessed progress in every sector over the past decade and promised to accelerate development if he returned to power.

The Prime Minister was campaigning in support of LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan, the NDA candidate from Hajipur—a constituency long considered a Paswan family stronghold. The late Ram Vilas Paswan had represented Hajipur nine times in Parliament.
