PM Modi celebrated Raksha Bandhan with school girls and Brahma Kumari sisters.

New Delhi/Patna, August 9, 2025: The festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with traditional fervor and joy across the country on Saturday, symbolizing the cherished bond of love and protection between brothers and sisters.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to the nation and participated in the celebration at his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi.

The Prime Minister got rachis tied by school girls and sisters from the Bharhma Kumari Sansthan.

A large number of students tied rakhis to him, and the atmosphere was filled with light conversation and laughter.

Students sang songs and expressed their thoughts before the Prime Minister.

Sisters from the Brahma Kumaris also tied rachis, lending the event a spiritual and emotional touch.

PM Modi’s message on the Raksha Bandhan:

Sharing a video of the celebration on the  social media platform X, PM Modi wrote, Many wishes to all the countrymen on Raksha Bandhan.”

The video shows the Prime Minister interacting warmly with the school children as they tied rachis, capturing the festive spirit of the day.

Nitish Kumar marks Raksha Bandhan with tree plantation in Patna:

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and Bihar Vriksha Suraksha Diwas, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday tied a protective thread to a tree and planted a sapling at Rajdhani Vatika in Patna. Extending greetings, Kumar said Raksha Bandhan is a festival symbolizing love and affection between brothers and sisters.

He wished the people of Bihar and the country joy and harmony on the occasion.

Bihar Vriksha Suraksha Diwas, launched by the CM in 2012, aims to raise awareness about environmental protection, encourage tree plantation and promote plant conservation.

“Planting and saving trees is essential to mitigate the damage caused by climate change,” he said.
