Patna, October 11, 2025: Bhojpuri Power Star Pawan Singh has put an end to all speculation regarding his political ambitions ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, announcing that he will not contest this time.

In a post on his official social media account, Singh wrote, “I, Pawan Singh, want to tell my Bhojpuri community that I did not join the party to contest the Bihar Assembly elections, nor do I intend to contest the assembly elections. I am and will remain a true soldier of the party.”

The statement of Pawan Singh came a day after his wife met Prashant Kishor:

His clarification comes a day after his wife, Jyoti Singh, met political strategist turned politician Prashant Kishor at his residence in Patna’s Sheikhpura House.

The meeting sparked widespread speculation about her possible political plans. However, Jyoti Singh soon cleared the air, saying her visit was not politically motivated.
“I have not come to participate in any election or seek a ticket. The injustice that I have suffered should not happen to any other woman. I want to be the voice of all women who are facing injustice,” she told reporters on Friday.

Pawan Singh is in the news due to his wife’s recent stance:

Political observers say the statements of Pawan Singh and Jyoti Singh have brought clarity to Bihar political circles, where Pawan Singh’s possible entry into the electoral fray on the BJP ticket had been a subject of debate for months.

His declaration that he will remain committed to the party but stay away from contesting has helped quell speculation over his role in the 2025 election.

Pawan Singh’s statement signalled that he will not be an active participant in the upcoming election but will instead concentrate on social and organizational work within the party and broader Bhojpuri community.
