Patna, March 26, 2024: Congress leader Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav on Tuesday accused the BJP and JD(U) of “playing with his security” after the Centre withdrew his Y-category security cover.
Pappu Yadav merged his Party into Congress:
Yadav, who recently merged his Jan Adhikar Party with the Congress and is seeking a ticket from Purnea, claimed that the decision to remove his security was politically motivated.
“After joining the Congress party, the centre has withdrawn my Y-category security. All police personnel have been withdrawn from my security,” Yadav wrote in a post on the social media platform X.
Yadav uploaded the statement after arriving at Bagdogra Airport from New Delhi, en route to Purnea for his election campaign.
Pappu Yadav claimed the BJP is scared:
“The way people of Purnea, Kosi and Seemanchal region are blessing me, the BJP is afraid. I am not bothered about my life. I can sacrifice my life for change in Purnea and in the country. BJP and JD(U) are playing with my security, and they will pay the price for it,” he asserted.
Pappu Yadav formally merged his party with the Congress on March 20 and is lobbying hard to contest from Purnea on a Congress ticket in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
