Nitish Kumar will visit Purnea as part of his 2nd phase Pragati Yatra to benefit people through financial bonanzas.

Patna January 28, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will visit Purnea district on Tuesday as part of the second phase of his Pragati Yatra, during which he will review developmental projects, lay the foundation stones and inaugurate projects worth crores of rupees.

The Chief Minister also interacts with local residents to address their grievances and evaluate the progress of government welfare schemes.

Senior officials, local MLAs and several ministers will accompany him during this visit.

All administrative arrangements in Purnea have been finalized to ensure the smooth conduct of the Chief Minister’s and Anganwadi centres and oversee the implementation of development initiatives in the district.

The programs of Nitish Kumar rescheduled:

Earlier, Nitish Kumar’s scheduled visit to Purnea on January 27 was postponed due to health concerns following Republic Day celebrations.

His visit was rescheduled and a minor adjustment was made to the third phase of the Pragati Yatra.

According to information released by the cabinet secretariat department, Nitish Kumar will visit Purnea on January 28, Katihar on January 29 and Madhepura on January 30 as part of his ongoing Pragati Yatra.

During these visits, Nitish Kumar will review ongoing development projects in the respective districts and inaugurate or lay the foundation stones for various development schemes worth crores of rupees.

Previous Pragati Yatra of Nitish Kumar:

As part of the Pragati Yatra, Nitish Kumar has been visiting one district daily.

On January 23, he visited Saharsa district, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 52 development projects worth more than Rs 210 crore.

He had inaugurated a senior secondary high school building in Mainha village under Sattarkataiya block, apart from inspecting a playground and waste processing unit.

He reviewed the land earmarked for the Government Medical College and Hospital of Purnea for its expansion.

He also inspected the measures taken by the water resource department to resolve the silt problem in Tilave River, issuing instructions for corrective actions.

Nitish Kumar also distributed the sanctioned welfare cheques to beneficiaries under government schemes.

Through these visits, the Chief Minister aims to directly monitor the implementation of development projects and ensure effective governance at the grassroots level.
