Patna, November 18, 2025: The swearing-in ceremony of the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government will take place on November 20 at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna.
Preparation for the grand event is in full swing.
Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, both the BJP and JDU will hold important meetings on November 19.
The JDU will convene a meeting of all newly elected MLAs at Shravan Kumar’s residence at 11 am. The BJP will hold its separate meeting on the same day.
Later, both parties will conduct their legislative party meetings where key decisions on leadership and strategy will be finalized.
Nitish Kumar would be elected as a leader in the NDA legislative party meeting:
The NDA legislative party will gather in the Central Hall of the Assembly on November 19.
In this meeting, Nitish Kumar will be formally elected as the leader of the NDA legislative party.

Following this, he will meet the Governor and stake a claim to form the new government in the state.
Nitish Kumar will take oath for the 10th time:
A day later, on November 20, Nitish Kumar will take oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time, marking a significant milestone in Bihar’s political history.
Along with him, several new ministers, including the Deputy Chief Minister, will also be sworn in.
The swearing-in ceremony is being organized on a large scale.

Top national leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, several Union Ministers, and Chief Ministers from various states, are expected to attend.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar personally inspected the preparations at the Gandhi Maidan on Tuesday.
He was accompanied by key NDA leaders, including Samrat Choudhary and Nitin Naveen.
Nishant Kumar will attend the ceremony:
In a noteworthy development, Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, will also attend the ceremony on November 20.
Speaking ahead of the event, Nishant expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Bihar, saying, “I sincerely thank the people of Bihar for the trust they have placed in my father. I also congratulate all our NDA allies on their victory.”

He added that the people had blessed the NDA with a decisive mandate and he added that the people had blessed the NDA with a decisive mandate and extended a warm welcome to all guests attending the ceremony.
Earlier in the day, Nishant met his father Nitish Kumar at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Patna.
