Nitish Kumar visited the LJPRV office during Makar Sankranti, but Chirag was absent.

Patna January 14, 2025: The Dahi-Chuda feast organized by Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has turned into a significant topic of discussion in Bihar’s political circles, particularly due to events surrounding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s visit.

Nitish Kumar, accompanied by Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary reached the LJPRV office in Patna for the feast but Chirag Paswan, the host and party chief was notably absent from receiving the Chief Minister.

Nitish Kumar’s gesture and remarks:

During his visit to the LJP office, Kumar paid homage to the late Ram Vilas Paswan by offering flowers at his portrait, a gesture that underscored the historical respect between the two families.

Nitish Kumar interacted with party workers, conveyed his Makar Sankranti wishes, and remarked that the LJP office was “his house” implying a familial bond. After spending some time there, he left.

Clarifications from LJPRV leaders:

The absence of Chirag Paswan and other NDA leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, and BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal, has fueled speculation.

To address this, LJP (RV) state president Raju Tiwari clarified that Nitish Kumar had arrived before the scheduled time.

Tiwari warmly welcomed the Chief Minister’s visit, stating, “He is our guardian, and he is welcome anytime.” He emphasized that Makar Sankranti is a festival of unity and gratitude, framing Nitish Kumar’s unplanned arrival as a mark of his connection to the party.

The absence of Chirag Paswan during Kumar’s visit adds a layer of intrigue to the event. It raises questions about whether this was a mere scheduling issue or a subtle political message.

Similarly, the absence of key NDA leaders who were invited further complicates the narrative, leaving room for speculation about alignment and coordination within the alliance.

Kumar’s act of paying tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan and his remarks about the LJP office signal an attempt to maintain cordial ties with the Paswan family, even amidst evolving political alliances.

On the other hand, Chirag’s absence, coupled with Raju Tiwari’s emphasis on Kumar’s welcome, might indicate an effort to balance respect for tradition with the current political landscape.

The Dahi-Chuda feast at the LJP office has highlighted the intersection of tradition and politics in Bihar. While Nitish Kumar’s early visit and Chirag Paswan’s absence have generated speculation, the event also underscores the symbolic importance of such gatherings in fostering connections and projecting influence during Makar Sankranti.
