Nitish Kumar reached Araria for his Pragati Yatra to boost infrastructures worth over Rs 300 crore.

Patna January 22, 2025:  Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached Araria on Wednesday as part of his Pragati Yatra.

During the visit, he has reviewed ongoing rural development projects in the district and inaugurated or laid down the foundation stone for various development schemes worth over Rs. 300 crore. He reviewed projects under Saat Nischay Part 2, including the Har Ghar Nal ka Jal Yojana and initiatives under the Tola Sampark Yojana.

Nitish Kumar visited historical Raniganj:

Raniganj block holds historical significance as it was once home to Mary, the girlfriend of British officer W.G. Martin. The locality, now known as Marryganj, is recognized in her memory. A post office in the area carries her name, and the location is mentioned in the renowned novel Maila Anchal by the celebrated author Phanishwar Nath Renu.

The Chief Minister will spend over five hours in Araria, during which he takes a review meeting with district officials. The district administration has completed all necessary preparations for his visit.

Nitish Kumar is currently on a state-wide Pragati Yatra, visiting one district per day to inspect developmental projects focused on infrastructure and public welfare.

Nitish Kumar visited Kishanganj on Tuesday:

On Tuesday, the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited the Kishanganj district. Where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several development schemes. He reviewed progress in the minority hamlet of Kathaldangi village in Pateshwari Panchayat, where projects include a primary school, an Anganwadi centre, a community building, a livelihood building, and community toilets.

In Halamla, he inspected a pond renovated under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan. Additionally, he inaugurated the Emergency Response Facility cum Training Centre in Mahishbathan and laid the foundation stone for a foot-over bridge in Deramari, Kochadhaman.

The Chief Minister also distributes cheques to beneficiaries under various welfare schemes, ensuring direct support to those in need.
