Nitish Kumar is facing criticism for his indecent remark on Rabri Devi on day 6 of the assembly.

Patna March 7, 2025: The political atmosphere in Bihar has intensified following CM Nitish Kumar’s remarks against former CM Rabri Devi, drawing sharp criticism from the leader of the opposition Tejashwi Yadav and RJD leaders on Friday.
Tejashwi Yadav slammed Nitish Kumar over his indecent remark:
Tejashwi Yadav condemned Nitish Kumar for his indecent language towards Rabri Devi, stating that it reflects the Chief Minister’s declining mental state.
He emphasized that Rabri Devi was the first woman CM of Bihar, serving when Jharkhand was still part of Bihar.
“Rabri Devi is senior to him in age and relation. The way he is talking about women shows that his health is deteriorating and he is unfit to govern. His words show his frustration,” Yadav said.
Women’s Day sparks heated debate in Bihar legislative council:
On International Women’s Day, both houses of the Bihar Legislature prioritized questions from women legislators.
MLC Urmila Thakur questioned the Bihar education Minister Sunil Kumar about the lack of girls’ high schools in Garahra village in Begusarai district.
She said that the nearby girls’ high school is 4 to 5 km away from the village in Barauni and hence they are unable to go to school.
Hearing this, Nitish Kumar lost his temper, pointing at Rabri Devi and making personal remarks about her becoming CM after Lalu Prasad Yadav went to jail in the fodder scam.
“They do not know anything. When her (Rabri Devi) husband drowned (went to jail in the fodder scam), he made his wife CM. What has she done for women during her tenure? All the work for women was done by my government,” Kumar said.
He accused the RJD government of neglecting women’s education, claiming that his government brought real change for women.
RJD MLC Sunil Singh criticized Nitish Kumar for insulting women in both houses of the legislature.
He questioned how the CM forgot the name of Lalu Prasad Yadav, saying Lalu Prasad lives in the heart of crores of people. It seems Nitish Kumar is suffering from a serious memory disorder.”
