Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Rs 822 crore projects to boost infrastructure in Bhagalpur and Khagaria.

With the Bihar Assembly polls only a few days away, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday accelerated his state-wide development outreach, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 822 crore in Bhagalpur and Khagaria districts.

In Bhagalpur, Bihar CM launched 59 development projects worth approximately Rs 302 crore, including several initiatives announced earlier during his Pragati Yatra.

The projects aim to improve infrastructure and public services, providing new impetus and direction to the district’s growth.

Bihar Chief Minister also interacted with beneficiaries of the social security pension scheme, Jivika Didis, electricity consumers, and other welfare recipients, directing officials to promptly address their grievances.

Nitish Kumar also visited the adjoining Khagaria district:

Later in the day, Nitish Kumar travelled to Khagaria, where he inaugurated and laid down foundation stones for 256 projects worth Rs 520 crore. These include key infrastructure and welfare works, also linked to the Pragati Yatra promises.

As in Bhagalpur, he held a dialogue with scheme beneficiaries and local workers to gather feedback and instructed officials to act on their concerns.

This development blitz is part of Nitish Kumar’s ongoing pre-election outreach.

Nitish Kumar also visited Kaimur and Rohtas on Wednesday:

On Wednesday, he visited Kaimur and Rohtas, launching projects worth over Rs 1,911 crore.

In recent weeks, the Chief Minister has maintained a packed schedule, visiting two districts daily to inaugurate and announce welfare and infrastructure initiatives as the model code of conduct looms.
