Patna, September 29, 2025: Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, on Monday inaugurated and laid down the foundation stone for 20,658 development projects worth Rs 11,921 crore at Sankalp, 1 Anne Marg, marking one of the state’s largest-ever single-day development drives.
The projects include 16,065 public amenities and development projects with an investment of Rs 7,805 crore for sectors such as roads, water, health and rural infrastructure, and 4,593 projects worth Rs 4,116 crore were inaugurated across various departments to strengthen social and administrative facilities.
In the building construction and allied departments, he laid the foundation stone of 97 projects worth Rs 997 crore and inaugurated 137 projects worth Rs 2,467 crore.
The projects cover a wide range of sectors, including science & technology, Animal Husbandry & Fisheries Resources, Social Welfare, Transport, SC/ST Welfare, Backward classes Welfare, Sports, Labour Resources, Revenue and Land Reforms, Art and Culture, Youth Affairs, Disaster Management, Home, Agriculture, General Administration, and Commercial Tax.

These initiatives are being implemented by the Building Construction Department and the Bihar State Building Construction Corporation Limited.
Nitish Kumar transferred funds to farmers:
Alongside the project launches, CM Nitish Kumar also transferred Rs 81.29 crore via DBT to the accounts of 13,176 beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Private Tubewell Scheme under the Minor Water Resource Department to promote irrigation and agriculture.

Congratulating all departments involved, the Chief Minister said the new projects would give new impetus and direction to development work in the state, directly improving the quality of life for the people of Bihar.
“Our government is committed to the overall development of Bihar. These schemes will bring visible changes in infrastructure, public facilities and welfare services,” Kumar said.

The high-profile event was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Water Resource Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Minor Water Resource Minister Santosh Suman and along with senior bureaucrats and politicians.
With the mega launch, the Bihar government aims to accelerate infrastructure growth, strengthen welfare initiatives, and enhance public service delivery across urban and rural areas ahead of the upcoming election season.
