Nitish Kumar criticized the Lalu-Rabri government, saying people lived in fear during 1990—2005.

Patna, October 23, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday strongly criticized the Lalu-Rabri regime of 15 years (1990 to 2005), saying that during that period, people were afraid to step out of their homes after sunset due to poor law and order.

Addressing an election rally in support of JDU candidate Randhir Singh at the Narpalia playground in Manjhi block of Saran district, Nitish Kumar reminded the public of the days when they would lock themselves in their homes as soon as evening fell and an atmosphere of fear prevailed.”

The law and order situation was extremely poor during that period. But after our government came to power, we created an environment of peace, security, and development in the state,” Kumar said.

Nitish Kumar highlighted his government’s achievement:

Highlighting his government’s achievements, the Chief Minister said that Bihar is now on the path of rapid development with major improvements in education, healthcare, roads, electricity, and water supply.

“Today, roads have been built in every village. Electricity and tap water have reached every home. We have also prioritized education, especially for girls,” he said.

Nitish Kumar appealed to the people to re-strengthen the NDA government to ensure the continuity of development and progress in Bihar.

“My priority is to make Bihar self-reliant and develop so that our youth do not have to migrate abroad for employment,” he added.

Nitish Kumar is continuously holding rallies:

The Chief Minister has been holding a series of rallies across the state ahead of the Assembly election.

Earlier on Tuesday, he addressed a rally in Muzaffarpur and two back-to-back rallies in Gopalganj on Wednesday.
