Patna, October 22, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday highlighted his government’s achievements and launched a sharp attack on the Lalu Prasad Yadav family during a rally in Gopalganj, the home district of the RJD chief.

Addressing a large gathering, Kumar said that before 2005, Bihar’s condition was dire, with law and order virtually collapsing.

Nitish Kumar targets the RJD:

People were afraid to leave their homes after evening. But in the last 20 years, Bihar has reached new heights of development,” he said.

Listing his government’s major achievements, the Chief Minister said over 5 lakh teachers have been appointed in the education sector, and several new medical colleges have been established to strengthen healthcare.

He also pointed out welfare measures aimed at the common people, including free electricity up to 125 units, enhanced old-age pensions, and increased employment opportunities for women.

“Today, the number of women in the Bihar police is higher than in any other state in India,” Kumar claimed, drawing applause from the crowd.

Nitish Kumar highlighted communal harmony in Bihar:

Kumar emphasized his government’s commitment to communal harmony and inclusive growth.

“Our government has worked equally for Hindus and Muslims. We fenced cemeteries for the Muslim community and built boundary walls around temples. Earlier, politics was based on Hindus-Muslim divisions—but now that chapter is closed,” he said.

Kumar also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the Prime Minister has made a significant contribution to Bihar’s development.” The rally in Gopalganj comes a day after Nitish Kumar addressed a similar public meeting in Muzaffarpur, where he also showcased his government’s developmental milestones and targeted the opposition.
