Patna, June 5, 2024: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav were spotted travelling to Delhi on the same Vistara Airlines flight on Wednesday. Both leaders were headed to the capital to attend separate meetings of their respective alliances—the NDA and the INDIA bloc.

Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav coincidentally boarded the same flight:

According to sources, Tejashwi Yadav was seated directly behind Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the flight, which departed from Patna at 10:45 am.

Following the announcement of the Lok Sabha election results on Tuesday, political activities in New Delhi have intensified. The NDA is expected to stake its claim to form the government soon.

A crucial NDA meeting has been scheduled in the capital, which CM Nitish Kumar will attend. Meanwhile, the INDIA bloc has also convened a meeting on the same day, with Tejashwi Yadav set to participate.

The results for all 543 Lok Sabha seats were declared on Tuesday.

The NDA secured 291 seats, while the INDIA bloc won 234. The BJP emerged as the single largest party with 240 seats, and its alliance partners collectively secured 51 seats.

Tejashwi Yadav said the opposition has performed better in the Lok Sabha polls:

Speaking to media persons in Patna, Tejashwi Yadav termed the outcome “encouraging” for the RJD.

“Our vote percentage and seats have increased in the Lok Sabha Election 2024. The RJD received more than one crore votes in Bihar. WE contested on real issues—jobs, saving the Constitution, and reservations—and we succeeded. The BJP could not achieve a majority on its own and is now dependent on allies,” he said.

When asked about traveling on the same flight as Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav responded briefly. “I don’t know about it.”
