Patna, December 15, 2025: Nitin Nabin, a cabinet minister in the Bihar government and a senior BJP leader, has been appointed as the National Working President of the party.
Following his appointment, Nitin Nabin visited the Hanuman Temple in Patna on Monday to offer prayers before leaving for Delhi.
Accompanied by BJP Bihar state president Dilip Jaiswal, Nitin Nabin performed rituals at the temple and sought blessings.
Dilip Jaiswal said that after the temple visit, Nitin Nabin will depart for Delhi, where a grand welcome has been planned by the party’s top leadership.
During his Delhi visit, Nitin Nabin is expected to meet several BJP leaders.
Nitin Nabin paid tribute to his father:
After offering prayers at the Hanuman temple, Nitin Nabin visited Rajvanshi Nagar, where he paid tribute to his late father, Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha, by garlanding his statue.
Speaking to the media for the first time after his appointment, Nabin expressed gratitude to the party and recalled his political journey.
“The party gave me the opportunity to contest elections 20 years ago after the demise of my father, and I am deeply thankful to it. The party has blessed me with the opportunity to work with its workers and reach this stage. My father believed that the party should always come first and be treated like a mother. His vision was to take the country to new heights through continuous service,” Nabin said.
Highlighting the BJP’s development agenda, he added, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, development has reached the village level. The BJP has expanded rapidly and has become a party of the poor.
The NDA has touched every section of society for their development.” Reacting to upcoming elections, including West Bengal, Nitin Nabin said, “BJP workers are always committed to every election, whether it is West Bengal, Assam, or any other state. This commitment is the true strength of the BJP.”
Addressing the youth, he shared a message on perseverance in politics, “You should believe in your work. Politics is not about shortcuts. It is a long race that requires patience and hard work. Success will definitely come,” he said.
Nitin Nabin is the first leader of the eastern region to achieve the highest post in the BJP:
Notably, Nabin is the first leader not only from Bihar but from the entire eastern India to be appointed as the National Working President of the BJP.
His elevation is being seen as a major step toward organizational balance and the promotion of young leadership within the party.
According to party sources, Nabin is also being viewed as a potential successor to current BJP National President JP Nadda.
If that happens, he would become one of the youngest national presidents in the party’s history.
