Patna, December 14, 2025: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday appointed Nitin Nabin as the party’s National Working President.
The decision was approved by the BJP parliamentary board.
Nitin Nabin, who is currently a cabinet minister in the Bihar government, has been entrusted with the responsibility at a time when the term of the party’s national president, JP Nadda, has ended.
The BJP’s top leadership has been deliberating on the next course of action regarding the party’s national leadership for some time.
BJP parliamentary board appointed Nitin Nabin as a National Working President:
According to an official letter issued by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh, the Parliamentary Board has formally appointed Nitin Nabin as the National Working President of the BJP, with immediate effect.
The notification has been communicated to the national president, all state in-charges, state presidents, and organizational general secretaries.
Nitin Nabin is a five-time MLA from the Bakipur Assembly constituency in Patna.
He recently defeated RJD candidate Rekha Kumari in the Assembly election held last month.

Coming from a political family, Nitin Nabin is the son of Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha, a senior BJP leader in Bihar.
Began his political journey with student politics and has since held several organizational and governmental responsibilities within the party.
He is widely regarded as a disciplined and dedicated party worker.
At 45, Nitin Nabin has gained prominence as the Road Construction Minister of Bihar, earning recognition for his administrative efficiency.
He is known within the party as a young, modern-thinking, and energetic leader, and his appointment is being seen as a move to strengthen the BJP’s organizational structure at the national level.
