CM Nitish Kumar reviews the Danapur-Bihta elevated road, directs timely completion.

Patna, November 26, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday inspected the Danapur-Bihta elevated road and reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction work.

He instructed officials to ensure that the project is completed within the stipulated deadline.

The elevated corridor is targeted for completion by September 2026.

Nitish Kumar directed officials to expedite works:

Nitish Kumar directed officials and representatives of the construction agency to speed up the work and remove all hurdles delaying progress.

He ordered the immediate processing of pending land acquisition compensation, ensuring that farmers and affected families receive timely relief.

The Patna-Bihta elevated corridor is expected to significantly ease congestion, enhance travel safety, and improve connectivity between Patna and the rapidly developing Bihta region. It will also connect the Koilwar-Buxar four-lane National Highway number 922.  

The project is seen as a key step in strengthening Bihar’s infrastructure and boosting economic growth.

Road Construction Department to strengthen monitoring:

Road Construction Department minister Nitin Naveen emphasized that the department is central to Bihar’s development.

He announced that over the next five years, work on expressways, ring roads, and major projects will be accelerated.

He added that the monitoring progress will be strengthened through advanced technology, with strict focus on construction quality, rural-urban connectivity, improved roads to tourist centres and better links to industrial corridors.

Digital systems will be adopted for real-time quality assessment, and road safety standards will be strictly implemented.

With renewed emphasis on digital monitoring and quality control, the Nitish Kumar government has reiterated its commitment to expediting major road and transport projects while maintaining high standards of execution.
