NEET question paper leak case, Anurag Yadav confessed to the crime.

Patna, June 23, 2024: Anurag Yadav—one of the arrested NEET candidates—has confessed that he received the question paper and answer key a day before the examination, according to the Economic Offence Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police.

NEET case Anurag  Yadav has confessed to the crime:

Anurag is the nephew (sister’s son) of Sikandar Yadavendu, a junior engineer at Danapur Municipal Council, who has already been arrested in the case.

In this written confessional statement to the EOU, Anurag said he was preparing for NEET in Kota. His uncle allegedly asked him to return to Patna and assured him that “the setting” for the exam had been done.

“On May 4, I was taken to the NHAI guest house and left with Amit Anand and Nitish Kumar. I was given the NEET question paper and an answer sheet. I memorized the answers throughout the night. When I went for the exam, the same questions came. After the exam, the police caught me. I confess my crime,” Anurag wrote.

His exam centre was DY Patil School in Patna.

The EOU has arrested 13 people in the case:

So far, the EOU has arrested 13 people in the case—including six examination mafias, four candidates (including Anurag), and three parents (including Anurag’s mother, Reena Yadav).

The agency has also summoned nine more candidates after their roll numbers and details surfaced during the investigation. Some of them appeared before the investigators on Wednesday.
