
Grand Alliance’s vote percentage increased in Bihar.
Patna June 5: Bihar has three major political forces BJP, JD(U) and RJD and whenever any two forces join hands, they become victorious here. It happened in the 2015 and 2020 assembly elections and 2019 Lok Sabha election. In 2024 as well, BJP and JD(U) contested together and became victorious.
NDA has won 30 out of 40 seats of the Lok Sabha election in Bihar. However, it has lost 9 seats compared to 2019 when it had won 39 out of 40 seats.
In this election, the alliance parties of NDA together achieved 45.5% votes while the Grand Alliance got 36.47% votes and the difference in vote percentage is just 9.03%.
After the results of the Lok Sabha election, now the analysis of seats and vote percentages is being done. Victory and defeat are being reviewed.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, RJD got the highest number of 22.14% votes while BJP 20.52%, JDU 18.52%, Congress 9.20%, LJPRV 6.43% and others 23.09% votes.
In 2019, the BJP got the highest vote percentage in the Lok Sabha election. The saffron party obtained 24.05%, JDU 22.26%, RJD 15.68% and Congress 7.85%.
JDU obtained 4.24% fewer votes this time compared to 2019 and hence it has lost four seats.
BJP obtained 24.5% votes in 2019, this time it got 20.52% which is 3.98% fewer votes. Due to this, it has suffered a loss of 5 seats in 2024. BJP lost the Buxar, Arrah, Sasaram, Patliputra and Aurangabad seats in this election.
LJP got 8.1% votes in 2019. This time it got 1.52% fewer votes. Despite that, the party has achieved 100% success and won all the five seats that it has contested in 2024.
In the Grand Alliance, RJD did not win any seats in 2019 but its vote percentage was 15.68%. This time, the party obtained 22.14% votes. RJD got 6.46% more votes and it was reflected in the result of the party. It has won four seats such as Patliputra, Buxar, Jahanabad and Aurangabad.
Congress had achieved 7.85% votes in 2019 and 9.20% votes in 2024. The grand old party has achieved 1.35% more votes and hence it has won Kishanganj, Katihar and Sasaram seats in Bihar. Last time, Congress had won only the Kishanganj seat.
Apart from the major parties, this time CPM got 0.87%, CPI-ML got 2.99%, CPI got 1.31%, Bahujan Samajwadi Party got 1.74%, AIMIM got 0.88% and others got 13.29% votes. The performance of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) was dismal this time and despite contesting on three seats, it has not won a single seat in Bihar.
For the Grand Alliance, CPI-ML’s performance was beyond the expectations of everyone. It has contested three seats and won two of them. Sudama Prasad defeated Union Minister RK Singh from the Arrah Lok Sabha seat while Rajaram Singh Kushwaha defeated actor Pawan Singh on the Karakat Seat and NDA candidate Upendra Kushwaha came in third position.
RJD contested 23 seats and won only four seats while Congress won three out of 9 seats.
In NDA, BJP contested 17 seats and won 12 seats, JD(U) contested 16 seats and won 12, LJPRV contested 5 seats and won 5 and HAM(S) contested one seat and won. RLM contested on one seat but it lost.
