Mukesh Sahani criticized the BJP and asserted the Nishad community’s support for the VIP during the Muzaffarpur visit.

Patna, June 2, 2025: Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief and former Bihar minister Mukesh Sahani visited Muzaffarpur on Monday, where he met with intellectuals and key figures of the Nishad community, along with party workers.
The visit comes amid rising political activity in Bihar ahead of the 2025 Assembly elections.
Mukesh Sahani said BJP can buy crowds, not Nishad loyalty:
During his address, Sahani launched a scathing attack on the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of attempting to mislead the Nishad community for electoral gains.
“BJP is only remembering the Nishad Samaj now that elections are near. They may gather a crowd with money in their so-called fishermen’s conference, but that crowd won’t truly represent the Nishad community,” Sahani said.

He challenged the BJP to test the allegiance of the people attending their conference by asking them to publicly show support for the party in the name of the Nishad community.
“Every son of the Nishad Samaj stands with VIP whether visibly or in spirit,” he claimed.
VIP focuses on grassroots expansion:
Mukesh Sahani emphasized organizational strengthening and urged VIP workers to gear up for the upcoming elections. Referring to the Bochaha Assembly by-election, he claimed that the results had made the public’s sentiment clear.

“The Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) will surely form the next government in Bihar,” Sahani asserted, boosting the morale of his cadre.
