Patna March 11, 2025: Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani has announced that his party will contest 60 seats in the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025.
The decision was finalized during a two-day national executive meeting held in Valmikinagar, West Champaran district. The meeting was concluded on Tuesday.
Sahani claimed VIP commands 8-10% of votes in Bihar. He asserted that VIP plays a decisive role in at least 150 assembly seats.
Mukesh Sahani’s alliance plans & seat sharing:
In the 243 seats of Bihar assembly, VIP has decided to contest 60 seats, leaving others for potential allies.
“We are not here to ask for tickets but to distribute them,” Sahani stated.
He emphasized that while VIP has the capacity to contest all 243 seats, forming a strong alliance is the priority.
Mukesh Sahani has set an ambitious goal for his party in the upcoming Bihar assembly Elections 2025, aiming to secure 40 to 50 seats.
“We have given the slogan “not just 4, but 40 MLAs this time.” If we contest on 60 seats, We are confident of winning 40 to 50,” Sahani said.
Sahani assured his alliance partners that his party would fully cooperate with the alliance partners.
“Wherever our allies contest, we will fully support them,” he assured.
Mukesh Sahani calls to party workers:
Mukesh Sahani asked his party workers to start preparing immediately for elections on all 60 seats.
In the 2020 Bihar assembly elections, VIP contested 11 seats as part of the NDA and won 4.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Mukesh Sahani joined the Grand Alliance with Tejashwi Yadav and contested 3 seats and lost all.
With shifting alliances and high stakes, VIP’s electoral strategy will be crucial in shaping Bihar’s political landscape in 2025.
