Mangani Lal Mandal files nomination for RJD state president, Tejashwi calls him a pillar of socialist politics.

Patna June 14, 2025: Veteran socialist leader Mangni lal Mandal filed his nomination for the post of RJD Bihar state president on Saturday.
The nomination event was attended by RJD national president Lalu Prasad Yadav, former CM Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav, along with other key leaders of the party.
Tejashwi Yadav praised Mangani lal Mandal:
Following the nomination, Tejashwi Yadav heaped praise on Mandal, calling him an experienced and committed leader of socialist ideology.”
“It is a matter of great happiness for us. We have been the proposers of Mangani Lal Mandal. He has been a minister in Bihar and MP in the Centre. He has consistently raised the voice of the people,” Tejashwi said.

He highlighted Mandal’s long-standing association with iconic socialist leaders, saying: He was closely associated with Karpoori Thakur and has worked with my father Lalu Prasad Yadav for years. His contribution in advancing socialist politics is immense.”
Tejashwi Yadav also used the opportunity to target the Nitish Kumar-led double-engine government, citing administrative failures and poor performance as reported by Niti Aayog.
“The people of Bihar want change. Nitis Kumar’s government has failed on every front. Together, we will build a new Bihar,” Tejashwi said.
Mangani Lal Mandal vows to strengthen RJD:
Expressing gratitude to leadership, Mangani Lal Mandal said: This nomination is a huge responsibility for me. I thank Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav for their faith. I will give my full effort to meet this challenge in the election year.”

Mangani Lal Mandal’s nomination is seen as a strategic move to galvanize the party’s base, especially among backward and marginalized communities, as the RJD intensifies preparations for the upcoming electoral battle.
