Industry Minister Nitish Mishra emphasized the department’s commitment to making more land available for enterprises in the coming years.
The state government also earmarked lands for industrial parks in other districts:
As part of these efforts, 50 acres in Sangrampur, Munger are being developed with infrastructure.
1243.45 acres of industrial parks are under construction in Vaishali (Jandaha, Raja Pakad, Mahua) and Sitamarhi (Nanapur, Sonvarsha). 712 acres are under development in Jhanjharpur in Madhubani district.
During CM Nitish Kumar’s Pragati Yatra, the development of industrial areas in districts with no prior industrial presence was announced.
Land is now being identified in Arwal, Jamui, Kaimur, Saran, Sheikhpura, Shivhar, and Banka.
The Industries Department has so far received 21,273 acres of land proposals from the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, including 18,059 acres of raiyati land and 3,162 acres of government land, with 457 acres already transferred for industrial development.
These initiatives position Bihar to strengthen its presence on the industrial map alongside its agricultural base, with the potential to generate large-scale employment and attract investments in manufacturing, food processing, logistics, and technical industries.
