Patna, July 15, 2025: After the Bihar government approved 1 crore jobs in the cabinet meeting, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav questioned the feasibility of the plan and the financial roadmap to achieve it.

Tejashwi Yadav alleged that the NDA government has not fulfilled any promise:

Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav launched a sharp attack on the Nitish Kumar government following the approval of the Nitish Kumar cabinet.

“These people have not fulfilled a single promise to date. If they have anything to say, let them say it, but this is a copycat government. Has anyone heard Nitish Kumar say this himself? He should come forward and say it.”

Tejashwi Yadav also questioned the government’s financial planning behind the massive employment promise.

“Elections are coming, and these people are going to leave. Their departure is certain, so they can say whatever they want. You (media) people will not ask where the money will come from for one crore jobs?”

Tejashwi Yadav’s statement indicates that employment generation and the government’s track record on fulfilling promises will be major issues for the opposition in the upcoming Bihar elections.

Interestingly, during the 2020 Bihar assembly election, Tejashwi Yadav had promised  10 lakh jobs, and Nitish Kumar put the question mark on his promise and said Where would the money come from?

The Bihar cabinet has approved 30 proposals on the Tuesday meeting:

The Bihar Cabinet on Tuesday approved the proposal to provide one crore new jobs and employment opportunities in the next five years, calling it a “big gift” for the state’s youth ahead of the assembly elections.

The proposal from the Labor Resources Department was cleared in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

The government stated that it will fulfill the target of providing jobs and employment to one crore youth in the next five years, moving ahead with a promise made by the Chief Minister earlier as a key election commitment.
