Patna, May 2, 2024: BJP national president JP Nadda on Thursday launched a sharp attack on RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, alleging that he was behind all major scams that took place in Bihar. Nadda also gave a controversial new interpretation of the RJD acronym, saying “R stands for Rishwatkhor (corrupt), J for Jungle Raj (lawlessness), and D for Dalal (swamp).”
Addressing an election rally in Araria Lok Sabha constituency, Nadda said.
JP Nadda targeted Lalu Prasad Yadav:
“Lalu Prasad Yadav was allegedly behind all the scams that have taken place in Bihar. The meaning of RJD is Rishwatkhor, Jungle Raj and Dalal. The INDI alliance is also a group of corrupt people. Half of its leaders are on bail and the rest are in jail.”
The BJP president contrasted the ten years of the Modi government with previous Congress-and RJD-led governments.
“During the last ten years of Narendra Modi’s government, there has been service, good governance and welfare of the poor. On the other hand, during the Congress and RJD regimes, there was loot, misgovernance and welfare of their own families,” he said.
Nadda also accused opposition parties of being against the construction of the Ram Temple:
“These people are against Lord Ram. They called him a fictional character and opposed the construction of the Ram Temple. Yet, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the grand Ram temple was built,” he added.
Highlighting the achievements of the Modi government, JP Nadda said India has become the third-largest automobile market and the second-largest exporter of medicines in the world.
“India’s medicines are the cheapest globally. It took 25 years to make a medicine for tetanus, 30 years for diphtheria, 27 years for tuberculosis, and 100 years for Japanese fever, but we made a Corona vaccine in just nine months. India exported vaccines to 100 countries and gave free vaccines to 48 of them,” he said.
Praising Prime Minister Modi’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, JP Nadda said.
“When countries like the USA, Russia and Japan struggled, PM Modi took timely decisions and saved the lives of 140 crore Indians.”
He also highlighted India’s progress in manufacturing.
“Ten years ago, mobile phones carried tags like ‘Made in China’ or ‘Made in Korea.’ Today, 97% of mobiles are made in India. This is the new changing India,” JP Nadda said.
