Jan Suraj’s chief attacked Rahul Gandhi on the reservation.

Patna September 12: Jan Suraj curator Prashant Kishor sharply attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on his statement on the reservation.

While interacting with the media persons in Purnea, the Jan Suraj chief said, “Rahul Gandhi himself does not know what he will say at any time. During the Lok Sabha election campaign, he was roaming around the country and advocated for increasing the 50% reservation cap and emphasized the need for a caste census in the country. Now he went to the USA and withdrew his own statement. Therefore, now what are his thoughts and ideas about reservation, only his fellow Congress leaders will be able to tell better,” the Jan Suraj chief said.

Rahul Gandhi, while interacting with the students and teachers of Georgetown University in Washington DC, stated that reservation might be reconsidered only when equal opportunities are guaranteed to everyone in India, which, according to him is not currently the case.

Prashant Kishor also criticized the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over his political alignment with BJP, particularly regarding policies like the Citizen Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC).

The Jan Suran Chief accuses Nitish Kumar of polarizing his political survival over standing up for the interests of the Muslim community, which has been largely opposed to these laws.

“I was in JD (U) and Nitish Kumar expelled me when I opposed CAA and NRC. Nitish Kumar is more interested in maintaining his alliance with the BJP than taking a principled stand,” Kishor said.

“I want to ask Muslim leaders of JD (U) they are supporting the party despite JD (U) is backing laws that have caused discomfort within the Muslim community,” he said.

Nitish Kumar has an alliance with the BJP which passed the CAA and NRC in the parliament. JD (U) merely offers symbolic gesture, like making some Muslims MLCs or board members in Bihar, while not truly standing with them on the issues that matter,” the Jan Suraj Chief said.
