Patna, August 1, 2025: The Jan Suraj Party, under the leadership of National President Uday Singh and strategist Prashant Kishor, held a crucial meeting of its National Executive Council at Sheikkhpura House, Patna and took key decisions regarding the upcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections, along with major organizational developments.
The meeting attended by State president Manoj Bharti. Headquarters convenor Narendra Prasad Mandal and senior members focused on five major issues.
These included finalization of the party’s election manifesto, scheduling the candidate selection process, distribution of the “Family Benefit Card,” crowd funding arrangements to support the party and planning pressure campaigns on three unresolved public issues.
Mass induction of leaders from other parties into Jan Suraj:
Before the meeting, a grand joining ceremony was organized at the same venue.
In a major boost to Jan Suraj’s political strength, senior leaders from the BJP and other parties joined the party.
These included Sudhir Sharma, former BJP State General Secretary and Working President of Bhumihar-Brahmin Samajik Front, Vinita Mishra, BJP State Vice-President Women’s Wing, Chetna Jhamb, a young entrepreneur and social worker from Samastipur and hundreds of grassroots workers and prominent figures from across Bihar also took Jan Suraj membership during the event.

New members were welcomed with the party’s yellow scarf, symbolizing their induction.
Prashant Kishor: “Jan Suraj is the future”:
Addressing the media, Prashant Kishor clarified that Jan Suraj is not against any political party, but stands for systemic reforms and holistic development in Bihar.
He drew comparisons with development models in Karnataka and Gujarat, stating that Bihar deserves similar progress.
In a pointed remark, Kishore said, “After November, the final destination of many JDU leaders and workers will be Jan Suraj. Even Nitish Kumar’s yellow-themed buses and posters suggest this transition.”

Quoting the Mahabharata, he added, “Only Abhimanyu’s sacrifice is remembered, not those who surrounded him. Similarly, honest workers are being sacrificed in the current parties.”
Leadership speaks:
Uday Singh, the party’s national president, said, “People across Bihar now believe Jan Suraj is the only party capable of resolving their issues. I’m proud to lead such a movement.”
State president Manoj Bharti criticized the BJP, claiming, BJP may have done a lot for the country, but it has done nothing for Bihar.”
Sudhir Sharma, while joining Jan Suraj, expressed deep dissatisfaction with the BJP.
“I spent my youth building the BJP, but today it has become a graveyard for grassroots workers. Bihar politics is now trapped between the RJD and the NDA. Jan Suraj is the real alternative,” Sharma said.
