Patna, September 1, 2025: As Bihar is gearing up for the upcoming assembly elections, the political atmosphere has heated up with the Voter Adhikar Yatra of the INDIA bloc concluding today in the capital city Patna.

Launched on August 17, the Yatra culminated with a massive march from Gandhi Maidan to the statue of Dr. B.R Ambedkar near Patna High Court.

The RJD, which has taken the lead in organizing the event, made extensive preparations, decorating Veerchand Patel Path, Gandhi Maidan, Beily Road, Income Tax roundabout, and the Patna High Court stretch with posters and banners.

Rahul, Tejashwi lead the Voter Adhikar Yatra concluding march:

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will spearhead the Voter Adhikar Yatra concluding march, joined by MPs, MLAs, MLCs and senior officials of all INDIA bloc constituents.

Chitranjan Gagan, the RJD spokesperson, said the Yatra aimed to expose vote theft and ensure every citizen’s right to vote is safeguarded.

“The poll body was forced by the Supreme Court to accept Aadhar as proof and disclose the removal of 65 lakh names from the electoral rolls. Our demand is simple: One voter, one name, one place. We will not tolerate manipulation at any cost,” Gagan said.

Sharp attack on BJP:

RJD spokesperson accused the BJP of attempting to manipulate the voter list.

“The BJP should clarify how the name of a Gujarat leader, Bhikhubhai Dalsaniya, appeared in Bihar’s voter list. Has he become a permanent resident here? The constitution does not allow roaming and voting across states,” he alleged.

Bihar Congress President Rajesh Kumar Ram announced that the concluding Voter Adhikar Yatra would move from Gandhi Maidan to Dak Bungalow Chowk with full administrative clearance.

Leaders from across the country, including TMC MP Yusuf Pathan, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) leader Sanjay Raut and NCP’s Supriya Sule, are scheduled to participate in the concluding march of Voter Adhikar Yatra.
