Patna October 9, 2024: Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has raised concerns about the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s ambitious “Gangajal Aapurti Yojana” which involves bringing Ganga Water to southern districts of Bihar like Gaya costing Rs 4000 crore.
While addressing Gaya, the Union MSME Minister questioned whether the massive expenditure has truly addressed the water needs of the region.
“With the amount of Rs 700, a dam could have been constructed along with canals for resign like Mokama to Gaya. Additionally, I proposed building a 15 to 20-foot-wide road on both sides of the river to alleviate traffic congestion in Gaya,” Manjhi said.

Despite receiving wishes from several prominent figures, including the President, Vice-President and Prime Minister of India, the Union MSME minister explained that the birthday recorded on his certificate is different from his actual birth date.
