Patna May 1: Hena Shahab who is contesting the Lok Sabha election as an independent candidate from Siwan, criticized the RJD leaders and said that if they could not respect Mohammad Shahabuddin then how would they respect anyone else.

The statement of Hena Shahab came at a time when her family and supporters organized a prayer to pay tribute on his death anniversary on Wednesday.

Responding to RJD leaders using photographs of Mohammad Shahabuddin in the election campaign, Hena Shahab said: “My husband is visible only in the photograph. No one came here to pay tribute to him. RJD has ignored the Shahabuddin family. Now, only time will tell how much impact this will have on the elections.”

Reacting to her nomination, Hena Shahab said: “I want to win the election and to connect the link between Shahabuddin’s thinking and his ambition for the development of Siwan. I don’t want my people to stay in hot weather and hence, I silently filed the nomination on Tuesday.”

Hena Shahab is contesting the Lok Sabha election from Siwan as an independent candidate. She has also worshipped Lord Ganesha in a temple and was wearing the “Mata Ki Chunari” before the nomination.
