Patna June 24: The people of South and Central Bihar have to wait for two days to get some relief from the scorching heat and high humidity.

According to the Patna Meteorological Department, the monsoon is not moving beyond Raxaul in East Champaran, Bihar. Due to this, the heat wave has become active once again. In such a situation, the heat will haunt for the next one or two days.

The met department predicted rain in Bihar after June 26.

An official of the met department said the monsoon is likely to advance in the state for the next three to four days. Till that time, the possibility of heatwaves will remain in the South and South West regions of Bihar.

There is a possibility of heat increasing in many districts of Bihar on June 24. People of districts like Bhojpur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Kaimur, Jahanabad, Gaya, Patna and Arwal would face the hot and humid conditions in the next few days. Hence, the Met Department has issued an alert of a heatwave. The maximum temperature in these districts will remain between 38 to 42 degrees Celsius. High humidity is making things worse for the people in this region. On Sunday, Buxar and Vaishali were the hottest districts in Bihar. The temperature here was recorded at 41.9 degrees Celsius.

The temperature in the Kosi and Seemanchal regions is slightly better than the rest of the districts of Bihar. The possibility of rain in Bhagalpur, Munger, Banka, Purnia, Kishanganj and Araria is higher.
