Patna June 20: Residents of several districts of Bihar were relieved after light to moderate rail on Thursday.
Over the last 25 days, scorching heat and high humidity have created havoc in Bihar with more than 100 people were died due to heat strokes, especially in South Bihar.
People have witnessed moderate to heavy rain with thunderstorms and lightning in some places of the Kishanganj and Araria districts of the Seemanchal region of the state since late night.
In Patna, strong winds are blowing since late at night and the weather remains pleasant. Due to this, people are enjoying it by coming out of their homes.
People suffering from heat for many days were relieved with moderate rain in the Bhojpur, Rohtas, Kaimur, Gaya, Buxar, Jamui, Motihari, Jehanabad and Aurangabad districts. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding heavy rains in Saran, Muzaffarpur, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Darbhanga, Supaul, Araria, Purnia, Kishanganj and Madhubani in the next 24 hours. The wind speed will stay up to 40-50 km per hour in these places.
The rain brought smiles to the faces of farmers who were struggling for water due to excessive. Rain will help in the farming of paddy.
