Giriraj Singh targets Tejashwi Yadav and said Rahul Gandhi took advantage of Tejashwi’s popularity.

Patna, September 18, 2025: Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh on Thursday launched a sharp attack on Bihar’s leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav, and said Rahul Gandhi took advantage of Tejashwi’s popularity during the Voter Adhikar Yatra.

Singh said that Tejashwi Yadav is now attempting to reclaim lost ground by holding a solo campaign under the banner of Bihar Adhikar Yatra.

During the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar, the crowd was drawn by Tejashwi Yadav, but the credit went to Rahul Gandhi. The media created an impression that Rahul Gandhi has turned into a crowd-puller in Bihar, but the reality is that Congress has no existence in the state and survives only because of the RJD. Despite this, Tejashwi played second fiddle while Rahul Gandhi walked away with the limelight,” Singh remarked.  

Giriraj Singh said Tejashwi will never become CM:

He further claimed that Tejashwi had repeatedly endorsed Rahul Gandhi from the state as the future Prime Minister, hoping Gandhi would reciprocate by projecting him as the future Chief Minister of Bihar.

“Rahul Gandhi never did that. This is why Tejashwi is now doing the Bihar Adhikar Yatra alone, to shed Rahul Gandhi’s shadow ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly polls,” Singh said.

Continuing his attack, Singh declared, Tejashwi Yadav can do anything, but he will never become the Chief Minister of Bihar. The people are with the NDA, and our government will return to power in the state.”

Giriraj Singh claimed Congress has no impact in Bihar:

Commenting on the upcoming Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Patna on September 24, where top leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge are expected, Singh said, “Congress has no impact in Bihar. Whether Sonia, Rahul, Priyanka or Kharge comes, it will make no difference. The NDA will win Bihar with a large margin.

Notably, LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan has earlier made a similar allegation, saying that Tejashwi Yadav has reduced himself to being a follower of Rahul Gandhi and is now campaigning alone to shake off that image.
