CM Nitish Kumar inspected Mithapur-Mahuli’s 4-lane projects and asked to expedite the work.

Patna, June 14, 2025: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar conducted an on-ground inspection of several major infrastructure projects in Patna, including the under-construction Mithapur-Mahuli four-lane elevated road and the Zeromile-Masaurhi (SH-1) road, with a focus on expediting completion and ensuring commuter convenience.

At the Mithapur flyover roundabout and Parsa Bazar, Nitish Kumar reviewed the progress of the elevated corridor.

He said the road, once completed, will significantly reduce traffic congestion on New Bypass Road and surrounding areas, offering relief to daily commuters and saving valuable travel time.
Nitish Kumar showed displeasure over zero mile-Masaudhi state highway construction:
Later, Bihar CM visited the Zero mile-Masaudhi (SH-1) road, where he expressed strong dissatisfaction with the slow pace of construction.
Issuing a stern directive to concerned officials, he said: “The pace of work on the Sh-1 road must be accelerated so that people can start benefitting from this important route without further delay.” The Chief Minister also inspected the Pataliputra bus terminal, emphasizing the facilities and infrastructure.

He instructed the officials to ensure proper arrangements for travelers, with a focus on cleanliness, seating, and overall commuter comfort.
Accompanying the Chief Minister during the inspection were Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, CM’s Secretary Kumar Ravi, Patna Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, and other senior government officials.
