Patna, October 18, 2025: Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas (LJPRV) chief Chirag Paswan on Saturday said the political atmosphere in Bihar is strongly in favor of the NDA ahead of the upcoming Assembly election.

Chirag Paswan thanked senior partners of the NDA:

Speaking to reporters in Patna, Paswan said, “The way we have successfully negotiated the seat-sharing adjustment by respecting each other’s strength is commendable. We are working to further strengthen our alliance.” Expressing gratitude to the BJP and JDU, Chirag Paswan said, “I am thankful to the bigger parties, which have shown a big heart and given respectable seats to the alliance partners. We have already declared candidates for all 243 seats in Bihar. The first phase of nomination has been completed. Our goal is to field only those candidates who have the capacity to win, and the seat distribution reflects that.”

Chirag Paswan said the NDA has launched its campaign across Bihar, adding, I am going to attend the nomination filing of our state president Raju Tiwari for the Govindganj seat in east Champaran district on Saturday. Other NDA leaders have started campaigning. We are aiming to achieve a 100% strike rate, similar to what we achieved in the Lok Sabha election 2024.”

Chirag Paswan criticized the opposition:

Taking a dig at the opposition, Paswan said the Grand Alliance is mired in confusion and internal conflict.

“The Grand Alliance is fighting among itself. Their seat-sharing formula is still not finalized, and they don’t even know how many seats each party is contesting. In several constituencies, the candidates are competing against each other,” he remarked.

When asked about claims from the opposition that Tejashwi Yadav will form the next government, Paswan retorted, “Who is saying that? Even the Grand Alliance partners don’t unanimously accept Tejashwi Yadav as their leader. There is complete confusion within their camp, and the people of Bihar will not accept a divided alliance.”

Chirag Paswan further criticized the Grand Alliance leadership, saying such disunity demonstrates that the bloc cannot provide a clear or stable alternative to the people of Bihar.

Chirag Paswan also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Patna and discussed the poll strategy of the NDA
