Chirag Paswan: NDA seat-sharing formula will be finalized soon.

Patna, September 17, 2025: Union Food Procession Minister Chirag Paswan on Wednesday assured that the seat-sharing formula within the NDA in Bihar will be finalized shortly.

Speaking to reporters in his home constituency, Hajipur, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief emphasized that everything is going well within the alliance and that the delay is only procedural.

Chirag Paswan explained that the NDA partners were earlier preoccupied with the Vice Presidential election, but now that the new Vice President has assumed office, the seat-sharing process will be completed soon.

Chirag Paswan on Jitan Ram Manjhi’s demand:

Responding to Hindustani Awam Morcha HAM Chief Jitan Ram Manjhi’s demand for 20 seats, Paswan said such bargaining was a natural part of electoral politics.

“As polls draw near, parties raise such issues to strengthen their position. Jiran Ram Manjhi himself is a minister in the Centre, and his son is a minister in the Bihar government. Being a strong part of NDA, we will work together and finalize seat-sharing soon,” he remarked.

LJPRV’s stand on seats:

Chirag Paswan’s brother-in-lawArun Bharti, the Lok Sabha MP from Jamui, has already indicated that LJPRV wants a respectable share of seats—anywhere between 43 and 137. In 2015, LJP (Undivided) contested on 43 seats and in 2020, the party contested on 137 seats.  

This time, LJPRV is pressing for a significant stake in the assembly polls while remaining within the NDA fold.

Wishes for PM Modi on his birthday:

Chirag Paswan also extended warm wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75^th birthday.

Prasing the PM’s launch of Swasth Mahila Abhiyan, Paswan said, “When women are healthy, the entire family is healthy. I come from a family where my mother is the sole caretaker. When she is healthy, my entire family is healthy.”

He added that the campaign, which will run till Dussehra, aims to provide block-level health check-up camps for women—from minor ailments to cancer screening—to ensure early detection and timely treatment.
