BPSC chairman met with the Bihar governor and gave details about the controversy in the 70th PT exam.

Patna December 30, 2024: BPSC Chairman Ravi Manu Bhai Parmer met Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Monday to discuss the ongoing situation involving BPSC students.

The Governor sought detailed information about the matter. However, Parmar did not address the media after leaving Raj Bhawan.

The BPSC has already clarified that the examination will neither be cancelled nor conducted again. Earlier in the day, MP Pappu Yadav submitted a memorandum to the Governor regarding the issue.

Bihar governor also summoned SSP and DM besides BPSC chairman:

Following this, Parmar spent about half an hour at Raj Bhavan, briefing the Governor about the students’ concerns. The Governor has also summoned the Patna District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of Police (SP) to discuss the lathi charge incident on protesting students.

After submitting his memorandum, Pappu Yadav stated that the Governor assured him of a discussion with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the matter. Yadav added that the Governor had spoken to the BPSC Chairman and emphasized the involvement of the Patna DM and SP in resolving the students’ grievances.

Pappu Yadav criticized Prashant Kishor without taking his name:

In an aggressive statement, Pappu Yadav indirectly referred to Prashant Kishor, convener of Jan Suraj.

Without naming him directly, Yadav alleged. “This person is not from Jan Suraj but represents the Daulat Swaraj Party.” He accused Kishor of instigating chaos during Sunday’s protests.

“If anyone is responsible for the unrest, it is that leader who has misled students and tried to suppress the movement through a conspiracy. The students will never forgive him, and he must be driven out of Bihar,” Yadav remarked.

Reacting to these allegations, Prashant Kishor dismissed Yadav’s comments, stating he had no intention of responding to such remarks. “He is a big leader but comes to my doorstep for help. Now he’s meeting the Governor, why doesn’t he resolve the ongoing BPSC protest issue himself? He just went to the hospital for a photo. Why isn’t taking responsibility for the students’ treatment and medical expenses?” Kishor said.
