BJP criticized Tejashwi Yadav for his statement on the Waqf Act.

Patna, June 30, 2025: Bihar’s political temperatures rose future as senior BJP leaders sharply criticized Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav for his statement that he would “put the Waqf Act into the dustbin” if his government in Bihar.

Tejashwi Yadav made this statement during the Waqf Bachao- Samvidhan Bachao” rally held at Gandhi Maidan Patna, on Sunday.

Samrat Choudhary: Not surprised by RJD’s history and Tejashwi Yadav remarks:

Bihar’s Deputy Minister Samrat Choudhary reacted, saying: “We cannot expect much from RJD and Tejashwi Yadav. They have a history of tearing bills in the past.

During Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government in 1998-99 when the women’s reservation bill was introduced, Now Tejashwi said he would throw the Waqf Act into the dustbin if came to power. We are not surprised with his statement.”

Mangal Pandey said they don’t believe in Baba Saheeb’s Constitution:

Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey also targeted Tejashwi Yadav, stating: “These people do not believe in the Constitution written by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Lalu Prasad Yadav allowed Baba Saheeb’s photograph to be placed near his feet, and now his son says he will throw an Act passed by Parliament into the dustbin.”

“Parliament is the biggest people’s panchayat and runs under Baba Saheeb’s Constitution. If Parliament passes a bill, it means it has constitutional approval.

Tejashwi Yadav talking about throwing it into the dustbin shows what kind of thinking they have. He is directly insulting Baba Saheeb.”

Pandey made this statement while addressing the Jan Samvad program at the BJP state office in Patna on Monday.

Giriraj Singh said they are Namazwadi, not Samajwadi:

Giriraj Singh said they are Namazwadi people, not Samajwadi people. Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son has never been a socialist. In the attempt to please one community, such leaders will end up nowhere.’’

Tejashwi Yadav’s remark on the Waqf Act came amid his aggressive posturing during the Waqf Bachao rally, where he alleged that the NDA government and the BJP are targeting the rights of minorities, Dalits, and backward communities.
