Bihar Congress stages massive protest over unemployment in Patna.

Patna, June 12, 2025: In a significant political show of strength, the Bihar Congress launched a massive protest march in Patna on Thursday, demanding immediate action on rising unemployment in the state.

The protest, which began at the Income Tax roundabout, concluded at the Employment Office, drawing large crowds and disrupting traffic along Bailey Road.

The protest was led by Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) President Rajesh Ram, with Rohtak MP Dipendra Singh Hooda flying in from Delhi to participate in the demonstration.

Hooda was received at Patna Airport by senior the grand old party leaders and was directly escorted to the protest site.

Bihar Congress demonstration turns intense at employment office:

A large number of the grand old party supporters gathered at the Income Tax Golambar early in the day.

The protest intensified when agitators climbed the gates of the Employment Office to voice their demands.

The unexpected escalation caused chaos on Bailey Road, severely affecting traffic movement in the area.

Congress attacks Nitish Govt over jobs crisis:

Addressing the protestors, Dipendra Singh Hooda criticized the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government, stating:

“Congress and Rahul Gandhi have a vision of employment, and Job creation is our top priority. The current government has cheated Bihar’s youth for two decades. In the upcoming assembly elections, people will support Congress and its allies to bring change.”

BPCC President Rajesh Ram also hit out at the state government, saying:

“The so-called nationalist government has replaced employment with caste and religion-based politics. Our youth are migrating out of Bihar in search of livelihood.

Congress is fighting for their future, and we are determined to remove this government in the next election.”

Congress Legislature Party leader Shakeel Ahmed Khan echoed the sentiment, of the alliance between JDU and BJP.

“The JDU once called BJP a ‘Badka Jhutha Party’ (Big Liar Party, yet they are now partners in governance. They have brought lawlessness, rising unemployment, and false promises to Bihar. The people are aware now, and they will give them a strong reply in the assembly elections.”
