Bibhav’s father Maheshwar Rai claimed his son is innocent.
Patna May 18: After Delhi police arrested Bibhav Kumar, the Personal Secretary (PS) of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in connection with alleged assault and misbehavior with Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, his father Maheshwar Rai claimed his son Bibhav is innocent.
Rai further said that Swati Maliwal is unnecessarily leveling charges on his son with malefic intentions.
Bibhav Kumar is a native of Kudru village under Kochas block in Rohtas district. The villagers say that Bibhav’s conduct has been very good.
“After that incident, I interacted with my son on the phone and he told me that Swari Maliwal had unnecessarily created an issue and leveled serious allegations against him. When Swati Maliwal reached the CM’s office cum residence in Delhi, my son informed her to wait for some time to meet the chief minister but she had leveled serious allegations against him. My son is innocent,” Rai, who retired from the post of constable from Bihar military police (BMP) , told media persons in Rohtas on Saturday.
“After completing his studies at Kashi Hindu University of Banaras, Bibhav went to Delhi for the study of journalism. During that time, he came in contact with Arvind Kejriwal. Later, when the Aam Aadmi Party government was formed in Delhi, Bibhav Kumar was made the personal secretary to the Chief Minister.
The villagers said that Bibhav has not come to the village for the last several years but his family has good relations with everyone in the village.
According to the FIR lodged by Swati Maliwal, Bibhav Kumar beat her up in the CM residence. She had gone to meet Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal when Bibhav allegedly committed such an incident. So far, two videos have surfaced in this matter. On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party is saying that the BJP has made Swati Maliwal a pawn.
