Patna, April 2, 2024: After the Supreme Court granted bail to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh, actor-turned-Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Shatrughan Sinha on Tuesday said the verdict was a victory of truth and justice.

He also expressed confidence that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would soon be released and come out clean.
“The Supreme Court has granted bail to MP Sanjay Singh. It is a victory of truth. The decision reflects that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had framed him. Similarly, CM Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia will also get bail soon. The BJP government is misusing the ED,” Sinha said while speaking to the media in Patna.
Shatrughan Sinha claimed the BJP’s slogan on 400 seats is unrealistic:
Sinha further claimed that the BJP’s target of winning 400 seats in the Lok Sabha election was unrealistic. “I firmly believe that the BJP will win only 150 to 200 seats in the country. Their claim of crossing 400 seats is a daydream,” he added.
Expressing concern over the reliability of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), the TMC leader said, “We are concerned about the EVM issue, and the case is pending before the Supreme Court. The truth will come out soon.”
Shatrughan Sinha, a former BJP MP from Patna Sahib, had quit the party and joined the TMC. He is currently the MP from Asansol, West Bengal, and is contesting from the same seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
