Patna, December 3, 2025: The joint session of both houses began with Governor Arif Mohammad Khan’s address in the Central Hall on Wednesday.

However, as soon as the Arif Mohammad Khan started speaking, the audio system malfunctioned, creating chaos in the House.

The governor’s address was inaudible for 15 minutes:

For the first 15 minutes, the Arif Mohammad Khan’s voice was completely inaudible to the members.

Although the address had formally begun, none of the MLAs or MLCs could hear a single word. The technical failure triggered strong reactions from the members, and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar appeared visibly angry, repeatedly looking toward the officials responsible for the arrangements.

As the disruption continued, members began raising slogans and creating uproar.

Arif Mohammad Khan, too, seemed taken aback by the escalating noise in the House.

After several minutes of confusion, the Assembly’s technical team managed to repair the microphone system.

The Governor’s address resumed normally thereafter.

In his speech, he is highlighting the achievements of the state government and outlining its roadmap for the next five years, including upcoming job opportunities and development plans.

Tejashwi Yadav’s absence during the Central Hall proceedings:

Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has broken tradition by not attending the Governor’s address.

Despite all members of both Houses being required to be present during the Governor’s speech at the start of a new government’s session, Tejashwi remained absent.

This is the third consecutive day of the session, during which the joint meeting and the Governor’s address were scheduled.

His absence has drawn attention, as the Governor is presenting the legislative priorities and agenda of the newly formed government.
