Arif Mohammad Khan met Lalu Prasad Yadav on January 1 to extend New Year greetings.

Patna January 1, 2025: The newly appointed governor of Bihar, Arif Mohammad Khan, visited the residence of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi on the evening of January 1.

He met with RJD Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, and their family, including former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, to extend New Year greetings. The Governor also wished Rabri Devi on her birthday.

During the occasion, extensive security arrangements were in place for the Governor’s arrival. The meeting symbolized a gesture of goodwill and cordial relations with the RJD leadership.

Earlier in the day, Governor Khan visited Kalyan Bigha, the native village of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, to offer floral tributes at the statue of Nitish Kumar’s late mother.

Since the morning, Rabri Devi’s residence has been bustling with activity, as a large number of RJD workers arrived to meet Lalu Prasad Yadav and convey their New Year wishes.

Lalu Prasad, along with Rabri Devi, interacted warmly with the workers. Many workers brought gifts to express their admiration and loyalty. The vibrant interaction, expected to continue until late evening, reflects Lalu Prasad’s strong grassroots connection and the enduring enthusiasm of his supporters.

Earlier, Lalu Prasad shared a heartfelt New Year message on social media, emphasizing his hopes for a better Bihar.

“heartiest greetings for New Year 2025. May poverty, helplessness, and unemployment be destroyed in the New Year. May socio-economic inequality and discrimination between high and low be eradicated. May love and harmony increase, May communal harmony be established, with these good wishes I wish you all a healthy, successful, and happy life.”

Tejashwi Yadav met Arif Mohammad Khan:

Before joining the gathering at Rabri Devi’s residence, Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, visited Raj Bhawan to extend New Year greetings to the Governor Arif Mohammad Khan.

The two leaders had a 15-minute conversation, highlighting a cooperative tone between the opposition and the newly appointed Governor.

Tejashwi then proceeded to Rabri Devi’s residence, where he joined his family in welcoming workers and celebrating the New Year.
