AAP MP Sanjay Singh protested over bulldozer action in Patna and announced to contest all 243 seats in Bihar.

Patna, June 17, 2025: With the Bihar Assembly elections just a few months away, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is intensifying its political activities in the state.
On Tuesday, AAP leaders, led by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, staged a sit-in protest at Gardanibagh, Patna, against the alleged bulldozer action targeting Bihari residents in Delhi.
Addressing the protest, Singh strongly criticized the BJP-led government in Delhi, accusing it of demolishing homes, huts, and shops belonging to people from Bihar who have been settled in the national capital for the past 40 to 50 years,
“Despite our repeated requests, the demolition drive continues. I’ve come to tell the people of Bihar those who are chasing Biharis out of Delhi, let’s work towards chasing away that BJP from Bihar in the elections,” Singh said.
Sanjay Singh attacks BJP for maintaining double standards:
Sanjay Singh alleged that the BJP is deceiving the people of Bihar by failing to protect their interests both in Delhi and in their home state.
“Before elections, BJP leaders would stay overnight in the same huts they are demolishing today. They promised permanent homes, got documents filled, and made big claims. But now, those same homes are being razed,” he said.

He urged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP leaders in Bihar to speak out on behalf of Biharis facing injustice in the capital.
“Betrayal and friendship will not work in both Delhi and Bihar. Those who talk big should answer how Bihari brothers are being treated there,” he said.
Self-respect and political expansion:
Singh further reminded people of earlier BJP statements where migrants Purvanchal were allegedly referred to as “Bangladeshis.”
“We raised this insult in Parliament. Today, the same fight for self-respect continues. We will take this fight to every village, every voter in Bihar.”
Full electoral push:
Concluding his address, Sanjay Singh announced that the Aam Aadmi Party will contest all 243 assembly seats in Bihar, marking the party’s strongest political push in the state so far.
