Patna, September 26, 2025:
Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday accused the NDA government of Bihar of copying his schemes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred Rs 10,000 to 75 lakh women in the state.
Tejashwi Yadav claimed the payout mirrors the Mai-Bahen Maan Yojana, earlier announced by RJD.
“The NDA government under Nitish Kumar is copying our schemes. They adopted our Mai-Bahen Maan Yojana and gave Rs 10,000 to women. I ask the Prime Minister to tell people if the Centre contributed a single penny to this scheme. This is Bihar government money,” he said.
He alleged that the cash transfer is a temporary election tactic.
They will do one or two transactions till the elections and recover the money afterward. People of Bihar are not fools,” Tejashwi charged.
Tejashwi Yadav breaks the silence on Rohini Acharya controversy:
Amid a family rift following Rohini Acharya’s rebellious stance in the Sanjay Yadav controversy, Tejashwi defended his elder sister and lauded her sacrifices.
“Rohini Didi contributed greatly to my progress. She donated her kidney to my father and never wanted a party ticket or any position. Anyone trying to tarnish her image is shameful,” he said.

Tejashwi Yadav clarified that Rohini’s Chhapra candidature was based on public demand and approved by Lalu Prasad Yadav, not by her own ambition.
Tejashwi Yadav criticized Samrat Choudhary:
He also hit back at the BJP, then state president and current Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, for allegedly making a derogatory remark about the ticket.
Only BJP leaders can make such statements. After such a huge sacrifice, Samrat Choudhary said Lalu Prasad Yadav was giving her a ticket in exchange for a kidney. This reflects their values,” he said.
