Abhilasha Sharma reviews final preparations for Patna Metro launch.

Patna, September 2, 2025: Abhilasha Sharma, the Additional Managing Director of Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL) cum joint secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department, conducted an extensive site inspection on Tuesday to assess the final stages of development ahead of the much-awaited Patna Metro launch.

During her visit, Abhilasha Sharma inspected key stations along the priority corridor, including Patliputra Bus Terminal (ISBT), Zero Mile and Bhootnath Metro Station, in addition to Patna Metro Depot.

Abhilasha Sharma’s review focused on civil works, finishing touches, artwork installations, and electrical systems, with special emphasis on ensuring that all construction and operational aspects meet the set quality benchmarks and project timeline.

She also interacted with engineers and project teams from PMRCL and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), providing on-ground guidance and instructions to align efforts with the government vision.

At the Patna Depot, Abhilasha Sharma evaluated the switching station, which has now been charged at 132/33/25 KV, ensuring the readiness of the electrical infrastructure for smooth operations.

She stressed the importance of electrical safety, operational efficiency, and timely milestone completion as critical elements in preparing for the city’s first metro service.

Officials said her visit reflects the state government’s determination to deliver a world-class urban transport system and significantly improve the mobility of the people of Patna.
