The Nitish Kumar government announced the TRE-4 exam schedule; the results will be declared in January.

Patna, September 2, 2025: Bringing relief to thousands of aspiring teachers in Bihar, the Nitish Kumar government has announced the timeline for the Bihar Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4) on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference, Education Minister Sunil Kumar confirmed that the TRE-4 examination will be conducted between December 16 and 19, 2025, while the result will be declared between January 20 and 26, 2026.

The minister said that the exact number of vacancies will be announced soon.

Currently, the Education Department is collecting vacancy data from various districts.

Once the process is complete, the details will be forwarded to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) for notification.

The Nitish Kumar government also announced the STET exam this year:

Along with this, the minister also announced that the form-filling for the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) will begin in September.

This comes ahead of the September 4 protest planned by STET candidates against the Nitish Kumar government.

The Education Department assured that the recruitment and examination schedule will be strictly followed.

“We are committed to conducting the TRE-4 exam on time. Candidates can now prepare with a clear timeline,” Sunil Kumar said.

Nitish Kumar government welfare measures, especially for female candidates:

The Nitish Kumar government has already announced 35% reservation for women in government jobs, and it will help female teacher aspirants to secure places in TRE-4. It has also announced a domicile policy for the candidates of Bihar.

With this announcement, teacher aspirants have clarity on the schedule, though they will need to wait until next year for the results.
