Patna, August 26, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bihar once again on September 15 to inaugurate the much-awaited Purnea airport.
He will also inaugurate or lay the foundation stone of several thousand crores of development projects in the Kosi and Seemanchal region of Bihar.
According to BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal, the highlight of this visit will be the inauguration of Purnea airport, a long-standing demand of the region.

“The new airport will give wings to connectivity and open fresh economic opportunities for the Kosi and Seemanchal region of Bihar,” Jaiswal said.
Along with the airport, PM Narendra Modi is expected to launch projects related to infrastructure, health, education, and road development, signalling the Centre’s commitment to accelerating Bihar’s growth.
Narendra Modi’s frequent visits to Bihar ahead of the electoral battle:
Narendra Modi’s back-to-back tours of Bihar—almost every month—are being seen as part of the BJP’s strategy ahead of the upcoming electoral battle in Bihar.
Analysts say the repeated visits of PM Narendra Modi are meant to send a strong message that the central government is serious about Bihar’s development and is delivering on promises. He had visited Gayaji on August 22.

The opposition had frequently questioned delays in the Purnea airport project, but Narendra Modi’s visit is being projected as an answer through work on the ground.
Boost for Kosi and Seemanchal regions:
The Kosi and Seemanchal regions, often described as neglected in terms of infrastructure, are expected to receive a major boost from the airport and other development projects.
Sources suggest announcements could include road upgrades, healthcare facilities, and educational projects, alongside new industrial initiatives.
