Vijay Kumar Sinha hits back at Tejashwi Yadav over Election boycott remarks.

Patna, August 13, 2025: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Wednesday issued a sharp rebuttal to Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav’s remark on boycotting the upcoming Assembly elections, accusing him of fearing defeat and attempting to avoid the electoral field.
Vijay Kumar Sinha alleged that Yadav had a history of running away from the playground and was now preparing to do the same in politics.
Tejashwi Yadav has misrepresented my age, so I am going to send him a notice,” Sinha said.
Vijay Kumar Sinha claimed Tejashwi Yadav does not believe in democracy:
“Tejashwi Yadav has made a false allegation against me. He is not a nationalist and is against democracy. If he believed in democracy, he would not talk about boycotting elections. Realising their defeat is certain, they are trying to escape the electoral field. They have run away from the playground before as well. If they avoid elections, the public will teach them a lesson,” Sinha said.

Vijay Kumar Sinha further asserted that action should be taken against those who do not believe in the constitution, accusing the opposition of indulging in politics based on baseless charges without regard for rules and laws.
“I have replied to the notice of the Election Commission and my EPIC number of Patna was deleted,” Sinha claimed.
Vijay Kumar Sinha defended Bihar’s BJP in-charge:
Responding to Tejashwi’s claim that BJP state general secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsania’s name was added to the voter list in Bihar, Sinha defended the inclusion.
Now there is talk of one nation, one election. If a person has been living in a place for years, then he has the right to vote in that place. This is within the ambit of law,” he said.
On the allegations regarding his age, Vijay Kumar Sinha challenged Yadav to prove his claims.
“I will send him a notice. He should show his degree and tell what age is recorded in it,” Sinha remarked.
Earlier, Tejashwi Yadav also pointed out that two EPIC numbers of Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha were raised by his party during the press conference headed by him.
“Sinha’s name appeared at two districts, and according to my knowledge, the administration of only one district has served notice to him,” Yadav said.
