Prashant Kishor backed students’ domicile protest and criticized Nitish and Tejashwi for double standards.

Patna, July 2, 2025: Jan Suraj architect Prashant Kishor has extended support to the ongoing students’ agitation in Patna demanding a domicile policy in Bihar, calling the current policy completely wrong.
He also blamed CM Nitish Kumar for snatching jobs from Bihar’s youths.
The youth of Bihar are forced to migrate to other states for labour, while people from other states are coming here and getting jobs. This is the result of Nitish Kumar’s wrong policy,” Kishor said. Prashant Kishor alleged that Nitish Kumar allowed outsiders to secure government jobs in Bihar for his desire to become Prime Minister and to promote himself in other states sacrificing the opportunities of local youths.
Prashant Kishor attacked Tejashwi and Samrat Choudhary:
Prashant Kishor launched a sharp attack on Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, accusing both of double standards on domicile policy.
He pointed out that during the Grand Alliance government, Tejashwi Yadav claimed credit for teacher appointments but thousands from outside Bihar were appointed as teachers questioning why the domicile policy was not implemented then.

Similarly, Prashant Kishor reminded that Samrat Choudhary, while in opposition, supported domicile-based recruitment but has forgotten to implement it now after becoming Deputy Chief Minister.
“Today, when in opposition, Tejashwi talks about domicile, and Samrat, when in government ignores it. This is the hypocrisy of Bihar’s leaders,” Kishor said.
Domicile demand and students’ protest:
Students across Bihar have intensified protests demanding a domicile policy to prioritize locals in government jobs, citing rising unemployment and an influx of candidates from other states in teacher and other recruitments.
Prashant Kisor’s support is significant as his Bihar Badlaav Yatra continues to engage the youth and unemployed in Bihar, positioning him as a challenger to the existing political establishment ahead of the 2025 assembly elections.
